About yesterday;
For those of you that live in Quebec, the Autre Gala de l’Adisq took place yesterday, where they honour categories that are awesome and that they don’t have time to put in the gala at the Saint-Denis theater (which is sunday).
Yesterday I won a Felix and I was pretty stoked. I was also really jet lagged, tired, stressed out, and really mad following that speech that was given by Manu Militari. It happens. I spoke my mind, realized maybe it wasn’t the right way to do it, but I don’t regret doing it. Maybe what I said was uncalled for, but what he said was something else.
Maybe that prize should’ve gone to a band that really deserved it because they represent diversity and change, and at least they would’ve been happy to have it. I still stand by this, not because they had the best “hip hop” album, but mainly because in my opinion they had one of the best albums of the year.
To that, you guys should really check Radio Radio out. And I am so thankful for that prize, I couldn’t be more proud of saying I’m from Montreal when I travel to play shows.
