GOLDEN BABY

I’m sorry. I’m not one to go look at what kind of comments people like to leave on my youtube videos, but tonight I was enjoying looking at live versions of my songs because I have to go tour again and I think I have forgotten how to do some of them properly…and while on the Woods and Wires sesh video, I saw this.

Everything is wrong with this. Especially if he literally meant what he wrote. Not the tattoo thing, not really caring about that, that’s just petty nonsense, but as far as saying that one would go as far as self harm is another story, friends. 

I get people saying that I’m either fat, or have a bad voice, or whatever. To be honest, that gets to me once a month and it’s usually in my woman’s time of the month, so I get sensitive like EVERY human being out there. But as far as death threats, violence and intimidation goes? I can’t forgive. That just makes me lose it. Especially on THE INTERNET.

If anybody does this to you via Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, school, anything…just go to the source. Tell someone about it. I lived my first year of elementary school sitting next to the bus driver’s trash can on my ride to school every morning because if I was sitting on the seats with the other kids in the bus, well, I was getting my hair pulled or spit on. I told my parents like, years later, and I’m pretty sure it has left some deep deep scars (like an attraction to the first seats available in a bus when I ride them, or something).

I feel much better now.
